The undergraduate program, of four years duration, in Journalism and Mass Communication, is attracting a new generation of media aspiring students.

Media has an increasingly significant impact on our daily lives. The training offered is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in various roles within the TV industry, Print Industry, Advertising Industry, Radio Industry, Digital Media, News Portals, and more. In the last few years, the number of TV channels are growing in India with a focus on GEC ( General Entertainment Channel), News, Education, Nature, Travel, Lifestyle, and Finance and the number is still growing. Besides this, content on Social Media is gaining more popularity and coverage, which is another avenue for media students. Traditional Print media is also attracting students with writing and reporting skills.
This undergraduate program in mass communication typically covers Principals of Communication, Reporting and Writing skills, Print and TV Journalism, Beats of Journalism (Sports, Political, Entertainment), Development Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Graphics, and Software, Photojournalism, Film Appreciation, Media Management, Media Ethics-Laws along with a bouquet of subjects related to Media. Students also master in Audio- Visual Production, honing their skills in Camera and Visual Editing.

School of Media is imparting practical, hands-on experience, with state-of-the-art facilities, including a studio, editing suites, and equipment. Students will be part of various media projects and productions, giving them valuable experience and building their portfolios.

Students will get an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, who are working in various roles within the media industry. These professionals are often able to provide valuable insights into the industry and offer guidance on how to succeed in a competitive field.

Eligibility

Passed XII or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board / Council / University with minimum 50% marks for general (open) category and 45% marks in case of Backward class category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only.

Duration : 4 Years/3 years

Bachelor’s degree will be awarded for programs of three years duration while the fourth year will lead to degree with Honors.

Fees: 1 Lac/Annum
